My 4.5 year old daughter, Lena, has been watching me make gift boxes for M2M Gifts™ since she was 2 years old. As many of our supporters know, M2M Gifts™ began in the wake of a devastating storm Lena and I were in, Hurricane Irma. Now we seem to have found ourselves in a new storm with COVID-19, but as life has taught us, the only time you should ever look back is to appreciate how far you've come. We have to keep moving forward because life is too short (and precious) to stay stuck in the mud. All that in mind, we have been able to find a silver lining from our newfound quality time spent in quarantine.
Aside from watching me make boxes since she was 2, Lena has also been painting since she was 2 (my walls are covered in her artwork). Follow her painting journey on Instagram. She recently took an interest in making her own boxes to sell on our website. What started out as motivation to buy herself a Paw Patrol lamp has evolved into Lena creating her own signature box in our shop!
Here she is painting pictures for the M2M Gifts™ Mini Lena Box, along with painting the shipping boxes themselves. Her newest motivation to sell boxes is so that she can buy her "Papa" (Grandpa) a handmade face mask to match the one she wears, by Kanda Burgess, who owns Oakland-based The Town Haberdashery.
The eye roll she gives me is the best part of this video. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 #likemother #likedaughter
